19 MAR. According to a report by the BBC, Lewis Hamilton has retired from racing and has ‘already fathered a number of chicks’.
Lewis, real name, Armando, is said to be one of the greatest racing pigeons of all time and was sold at auction last weekend for an eye-watering £321,800.
Failing to sell at the same auction was another pigeon called Nico.
His owner said:
“Nico was quick and often ruffled Lewis’s feathers but he’d fly away when the going got tough, which really is not ideal for a racer“.
