Beer, Sex and a Smoke – Jaime is the new James Hunt!

There are three F1 drivers who enjoy nothing more than uploading photograph’s on to Twitter. Karun Chandhok (@karunchandhok) is the artistic type, posting well shot pictures of whatever building he happens to be passing at the time.

Timo Glock (@realTimoGlock) will upload a photo of anything he is about to eat, while Jaime Alguersuari (@jaimealguersuar) has what can only be described as Twitter-Tourettes, snapping at anything and everything he comes across.

However, his latest piece of work ‘Boy in a bedroom’, taken during a promotional visit to Santo Domingo, is hot favourite to scoop this years prestigious ‘Turner Prize’. One of the judges, Kempston Hardwick, said “The juxtaposition of the beer, representing the anticipation of the sex with super sensitive condoms along with the almost phallic qualities of the post-coital cigar is pure genius”.

We ask Jaime what he thought his chances of winning the prize were only to discover that five minutes after entering the room all of the contents of the box had been used.

Rubens grabs first Williams win for nearly six years!

Williams F1 driver, Rubens Barrichello, is reported to be delighted after winning the first race for the team since Juan Pablo Montoya’s victory at the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2004.

After four days, the results of the first Volcano Grand Prix… are in, with Barrichello being the first driver to get back home, arriving in Sao Paulo in a time of 25 hrs, 14 mins, 3.15 secs.

The Brazilian veteran finished a considerable way ahead of second placed Jaime Alguersuari who took 40 hrs, 19 mins, 8.98 secs to get back to Barcelona and third placed Mark Webber who took 44hrs, 5 mins, 9.88 secs to get the key in the door of his Oxford home.

Barrichello put his win down to an ash-avoiding one stop strategy with Emirates Airlines while Alguersuari and Webber both made upwards of five stops each.

Many other drivers are still en-route while some did not even make the start, preferring instead to relax on a Thai beach with a Japanese lingerie model.

Look, we really don’t have any pictures of drivers wives or girlfriends – honestly!

Checking out where our visitors come from, we do seem to have an increase of pervy Googler’s looking for pictures of F1 driver’s better halves. For some reason a chap in Swindon, UK, keeps ending up with us after entering…. (perhaps that’s the wrong word) ‘Adrian Sutil’s girlfriend’ while a determined but ultimately disappointed searcher from Thessaloniki in Greece, is keen on a snap of Jaime Alguersuari’s bird.

We may have the solution. Here is a picture of 22 grid girls and statistically speaking it is entirely likely that at least one of them must have slept with an F1 driver.

Knock yourselves out boys.

The glamorous life of an F1 driver?

Jaime Alguersuari loves to Twitter, usually with caps lock on, and it’s an interesting insight into the life of an up and coming F1 driver. However, the young Spaniard does tend to complain a lot about his difficult life and… his latest Tweet bemoans the fact that he is “On a ‘plane with no leg’s again!”.

Let’s hope he means legroom, otherwise reaching the pedals in Australia could prove tricky. Mind you, as his photo shows, he is on Easyjet so he should be thankful he has a seat, a fatal crash instruction sheet and a sick bag – he’d get none of that on Ryanair.

Saving Private Alguersuari

In Spain’s ‘El Mundo’ newspaper, Toro Rosso driver, Jaime Alguersuari, claims that Red Bull forced him to step in and replace Sebastien Bourdais last season and he compares himself to a World War Two hero.

In a rather erudite piece, which… for anybody following his Twitter account is a bit of a surprise, Jaime says; “I was an employee of Red Bull and I could say neither yes or no to replacing Bourdais.” He went on; “I am no longer a soldier thrown on to the beaches of Normandy” before adding that he could be the ‘surprise’ of the season.

The only real surprise is that anybody would choose to give such a headcase the keys to an F1 car…

Jaime Alguersuari – Twitter Twit?

Anybody with a teenage son will know that they are an unusual creature. A creature who likes to wear trousers that show their pants, hat’s that do not face the right direction, a creature who likes to finish every sentence… with an Australian accent and one who should not be let loose on the Internet. Toro Rosso driver Jaime Alguersuari, 13, is no exception.

Young Jaime is an excitable sort of chap, which for a Spaniard is something of an achievement, but team insiders who have been following his Tweets @JAIMEALGUERSUAR are beginning to think that anything more than a souped up Ford Fiesta might be too much.

Here are a couple of gems from the man in charge of a 220mph, £5 million car: “My girlfriend does not led me drive!!! Mi novia no me deja conducir! She says there is veryvlow grip!! Hahahaha! She is really really crazy!” and the equally mental, “LET´S GROOVE ON THE HOUSE!!! COME ON!!YEEEEEEEE HOPE YOU ENJOY IT!! HAVE FUN….JAJAJA”

We can just see the pit board now; “L23!! P14!!! NEED TO LIKE REALLY PUSH!! CRAZY GO GO YAY!!”
