Virgin Racing are used to having a tough time at Grand Prix but today could be their hardest yet. While Lucas di Grassi, who gave qualifying a miss, is starting at the back of the grid, behind even Sakon Yamamoto, his team mate, Timo Glock, is starting further back in 34th place after being given a ten place drop by the stewards.
Glock was penalised five places for having a new gearbox fitted then, according to an official, another five were added “For a laugh”.
Timo will therefore start his home race at turn 12, the Mobil Kurve (arrowed), which means that if he does not get a hurry on, he could be lapped by Sebastian Vettel before the end of lap one.
