Melbourne, Saturday: David Coulthard is reported to be bitterly disappointed following Sir Richard Branson becoming the first man to swear on the BBC’s Formula One coverage.

DC had been waiting for the right moment to drop in a naughty word but at 2:12 hours 34.098 seconds Branson popped in a ‘bastard’ leaving DC crestfallen.

Coulthard feels he is ready to bounce back and it is hoped his bad language form will return in time for the European season
