Following his latest setback, Donington boss Simon Gillett, has come up with a radical plan to secure the future of the British Grand Prix - by signing a 150 year lease on the Moon.
Gillett, apparently cheesed off with how things… are going at the East Midlands circuit, plans to hold next year’s race in The Sea of Tranquility, which at 540 miles, end to end, will have plenty of space for the track, state of the art facilities and ample parking.
Said our space correspondent, “It’s an ideal solution, lots of room, nobody there to sue you and no planning authorities to worry about”
The FIA are yet to ratify the plans but building work is set to start within the next few weeks.
