Paris, Tuesday 14 April. While he was busy convincing the powers that be, that Brawn GP should be given the 2009 F1 constructors title now instead of waiting until November, Ross Brawn attracted attention to himself by turning up at the Paris hearing struggling with a heavy suitcase.
Curious officials demanded to search the case and were shocked to find it contained a prototype of next years BGP002, which seems to have stretched the regulations to the limit. The car, which is just 3 feet long, will be very handy in those tight first corner situations and will maximise garage space plus it will fit neatly into Virgin Atlantic’s overhead lockers, saving a fortune on freight costs.
The car is so easy to handle it can be driven by a four year old, which gets around the need for a tiny driver, although Nelson Piquet is rumoured to be angling for a test should things continue to go pear shaped at Renault.
